Alma was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1985.
She studied Modern and Classical Dance between 1991-2003. In 2003, she joined the israeli Defense Force for two years. After the mandatory military service, Alma moved to NYC and studied Photography at ICP (International Center of Photography) for a year. Well before joining ICP, Alma spent years photographing without a formal education, focusing mostly on the human subject. The first portraiture project she undertook involved her friends and family. The positive feedback and support they gave her encouraged her to get deeper into the field and allow herself to explore the form of her artwork.
Nowadays, Alma still works on personal projects as well as collaborating with artists in other fields such as musicians and dancers.
